On this day in 1966, Frank Robinson of the Baltimore Orioles, who won the National League Most Valuable Player award in 1961 with the Cincinnati Reds, won the Triple-Crown, was named the American League’s M.V.P., and became the only player to have won MVP awards in both leagues.
