Iraq on Jeopardy
It recently came out that former President George W. Bush sought help on Iraq from Ken Jennings, the champion of the popular game show "Jeopardy!"
To make Jennings more comfortable, Bush aides hired Alex Trebek to moderate the interview in game-show format. Unfortunately, the odd meeting did not go well. According to those who saw Mr. Jennings meet the president, Ken breezed through most of the questions but was stumped when he got to "EXIT STRATEGIES" for $100.
Alex Trebek: "The most likely outcome of the war in Iraq, this should happen by the end of 2005."
Ken Jennings: "What is civil war and total chaos?"
Trebek: "I'm sorry, but the correct question is, 'What is a thriving Middle Eastern democracy and a beacon of hope for the entire region?'"
Afterward, a disappointed President Bush reportedly said, "Ken Jennings may be the smartest man in America but he doesn't know a damn thing about Iraq."
