John the Baptist Beheaded
Matthew 14:9-12
9 Herod the Tetrarch was sorry, but because of his oaths and his guests he commanded the Baptist's head be given.
10/11 He sent and had John beheaded in the prison, and his head was brought on a platter and given to the girl, and she brought it to Herodias, her mother.
12 John's disciples came and took the body and buried it, and they went and told Jesus.
