A Long Game
On January 29, 1980, the Cleveland Cavaliers and Los Angeles Lakers went back-and-forth contest that neither club wanted to lose. Seven Lakers scored in double figures led by Kareem Abdul-Jabbar's 42 points. Four Cavaliers had more than 30 points. The game finally ended when Mike Mitchell hit two free throws with two seconds left in the fourth overtime.
