First Winter Games Totals

It was on this day in 1924 that the first ever Winter Olympic Games in Chamonix, France ended. Norway would finish on top of the medal standings with a total of 17 (4 gold, 7 silver, 6 bronze). They were followed by Finland’s 11 (4 gold, 4 silver, 3 bronze). No other country accumulated more than four medals.
